The Old Globe has presented its annual holiday production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! since 1997. However, the Grinch is more than just a play on the Globe's stage – it is also a series of celebrations and education and outreach programs – collectively known as The Grinch Children's Initiatives that reach more than 14,000 and capture the spirit of the season and the production by giving back to the community. Designed to reach underserved families and children throughout San Diego County, The Grinch Children's Initiatives includes the Grinch Free Tickets Program, and Seussabration, The Grinch Family Experience. Approximately 10,000 children will also take advantage of the Grinch Discount Ticket program. Schools that do not qualify for the free tickets program can purchase greatly discounted tickets for selected weekday matinees. To make this delightful holiday show accessible to as many families as possible, all children ticket prices are discounted by at least 50%.
