The Middle School Conservatory is a three-week program of intense acting study with professional teaching staff and actors from the Shakespeare Festival's repertory company. Students will explore scene study, stage combat, theatre games, improvisation, movement and specialty workshops. The Conservatory will take place on weekdays, July 15 - August 2, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The program cost is $600 ($550 for subscribers) and does not require an audition, though a passion for theatre and acting is important.
The Middle School Conservatory is now full. If you have any questions about this program, or if you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please email GlobeLearning@TheOldGlobe.org.
A select group of talented high school students will be chosen in March to participate in the Summer Shakespeare Intensive. This four-week program guides students through workshops and rehearsals that culminate in a performance of two of Shakespeare’s plays in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. It is an unparalleled opportunity for serious high school students to develop their skills and perform at The Old Globe in front of their family, friends and theatre professionals.
